Featuring original pieces by emerging and established international artists interested in connecting fine arts and contemporary culture. The pieces were displayed alongside the museum’s permanent exhibition, creating a dialogue between classical and contemporary art. Music Alchemy worked with art specialist Bakul Patki to identify and shortlist suitable artists to create, fabricate, transport and install all artworks in the world-famous museum.
Chila Burman created a monumental suspended octagonal chandelier to celebrate MTV EMA’s 40th anniversary. Jason Shulman created a photograph which recorded the entire duration of the first ever South Park episode. Nam Tram created Rugrats and Smurfs ceramic characters in fine ceramics. Local porcelain artist Petra Combarro took Comedy Central’s animation slate envisioning a group of characters including Ren and Simply and the cast of South Park. Alexandros Tsolakis marble sculpture inspired in Paramount’s sci-fi portfolio. Paul Stephenson’s painting was inspired in the Yellowstone franchise and Arran Gregory’s sculpture “A Star Is Born” put Patrick Star welcomed guests to the exhibition.
